Incident at 10965 South Gessner #2031

August 6, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman at 10965 South Gessner #2031 about 10:30 a.m. on Friday (Aug. 5).

The victim is identified as Danielle Subjects, 28, of that address. Investigators said her death is a homicide, however, the official cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Swaim and Officer A. Brown reported:

Danielle's roommate returned home about 1 p.m. Friday from an overnight stay at a friend's home and found her inside of their apartment. Danielle Subjects took her two children to daycare earlier in the morning and apparently returned home to prepare for work. She appeared to have been sexually assaulted and robbed, which are possible motives in her death.
