Traffic Incident at 13800 Gulf Freeway

May 4, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 13800 Gulf
Freeway today (Wednesday, May 4) about 12:30 a.m.

The male victim's identity is pending notification of next of kin by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer M. Wick reported:

A vehicle was traveling northbound on the Gulf Freeway at a high rate of speed and hit the back of another vehicle. The driver of the striking vehicle was ejected from his vehicle and killed. The occupants of the other vehicle were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is to continue.
