Incident at 7600 Beechnut

December 9, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a child at 7600 Beechnut about 4:40 p.m. on Friday (December 8).

The victim, Priscilla Rangel, six months old, of 7100 Gessner #3, possibly choked on her formula. HFD paramedics transported her to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Officer B.W. Nabors reported:

HFD paramedics responded to an infant not breathing call at 7100 Gessner. They located the victim and transported her to the hospital. Homicide investigators arrived on the scene, along with personnel from the Harris County Medical Examiner's office, who will conduct an autopsy to determine her cause of death.
