Incident at 3333 Alabama

April 19, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3333 Alabama about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday (April 18).

The victim is identified as Aaron Masters, 24, of 3710 Tierwester. He sustained gunshot wounds in the chest and arm and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

The suspect, only known as “Money”, is described as a dark skinned black male, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 150 to 170 pounds. He was seeing leaving the scene in a white Pontiac 4-door vehicle with tinted windows and Texas license plates 029-JKM.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.C. Padilla and Officers M.A. Khan and E Schmidt reported:

Mr. Masters, the suspect “Money” and several other males were playing dice on a front patio when Masters won a large amount of money on a single roll. This upset the suspect who pulled out a semi-automatic handgun, shot Masters several times and took the winnings out of his hand. A wounded Masters ran to his grandmother’s home and collapsed in the living room.
