Traffic Incident at 1700 Witte

April , 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 1700 block of Witte Road about 7:40 p.m. on Thursday (April 19).

The male victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Lieutenant H. Zamora and Officers J. Mushinski and R. Kessler reported:

The victim was riding his motorcycle northbound on Witte Road, weaving through traffic, when he struck the rear of a large commercial box van that was turning left.

The investigation is continuing.
