Fatal Shooting at 9703 Plainfield

November 25, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 9703 Plainfield about 2:50 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 25).

The deceased victim, William Eugene Marshall, 44, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second male, 38, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Officers T. T. Pool and M. A. Khan reported:

Mr. Marshall and a male acquaintance were inside the Turbo Texas Shop at 9703 Plainsfield with other friends when an argument started. An unknown suspect, described only as a black male, produced a handgun, shot Marshall and the second male, then fled the scene.
