Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 10700 Fuqua #267

October 2, 2008 - Houston police homicide investigators have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 10700 Fuqua #267 about 12:10 a.m. on August 7, 2008.

The suspect, Fredreck Douglas (b/m, DOB: 6-22-88), was arrested on Wednesday (Oct. 1) without incident. He was charged with murder in the 208th State District Court for the killing of Andrae Prentice Shelton, 28. Mr. Shelton suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the neck, chest and arms and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he underwent surgery and survived his injuries.

The two victims were standing outside of Mr. Shelton’s apartment at 10700 Fuqua when two suspects approached them. At some point, the victims and the suspects got into an argument and several shots were fired. The suspects then fled in a late model Dodge Magnum with a custom two-tone black over silver paint job.

A follow-up investigation identified Douglas as the suspect who fatally shot both victims.
