Charges Filed in Shooting at 15464 Chipman Lane
October 13, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 15464 Chipman Lane about 10:35 p.m. on Friday (Oct. 10).
The suspect, Randy Jejuan Stokes (b/m, DOB: 6-26-84), is charged with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury in the 339th State District Court. Stokes suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown condition.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the face, back and leg and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he underwent surgery and remains in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. M. De La Cruz and Officer K. Lopez reported:
Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 15464 Chipman Lane and discovered one male had been shot and taken to the hospital. Further investigation determined the victim and Stokes got into an argument before the shooting. Stokes, who was shot in a struggle with the victim over the gun, then fled the scene and was later arrested by patrol officers.
