Fatal Stabbing at 5301 Mulvey

February 2, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 5301 Mulvey about 8 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 31). 

The male victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rubio and Senior Police Officer S. Anderson reported: 

The victim and a male suspect were drinking outside the victim’s driveway when they got into an argument regarding family issues.  The argument then turned into a physical fight and the suspect stabbed the victim.  It was believed the suspect barricaded himself in his house so the HPD Special Weapons and Tactics team (SWAT) was called to the scene.  Further investigation determined the suspect had fled the scene.
