Fatal Shooting at 2927 Crossview

June 24, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2927 Crossview about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The victim, Devarek Joseph, 29, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R.D. Chandler and Senior Police Officer L.K. Lovelace reported:

Mr. Joseph was sitting in his vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot at 2927 Crossview. He was approached by two individuals in a separate vehicle. After a brief exchange of words, several shots were fired and Joseph was struck multiple times in the head and chest. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle and investigators are interviewing witnesses in an attempt to identify the suspects.
