Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11500 Mykawa Road
September 13, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11500 Mykawa Road about 8:45 p.m. on Monday (September 12).
The male victim, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Salazar and Officer P. Pham reported:
The driver of a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on a dark area of Mykawa Road when he struck a bicyclist also traveling northbound on Mykawa. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, who was determined not to be impaired, remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
