July 14, 2006 -- A 3-year-old boy is in extremely critical condition after nearly drowning in an apartment complex pool at 3400 Ocee on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at about 7 p.m.

Houston Police Department Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and Officer C.Y. Park reported that the boy was outside with his father and two brothers and other family members playing in the parking lot that evening. The victim's father noticed that the boy was no longer in the parking lot just before hearing a woman near the pool yelling about a boy.

The boy's father ran to the pool and saw the woman pulling the child from the pool. CPR was performed on the child before HFD transported him to Texas Children's Hospital.

The investigators will be trying to determine whether or not the pool gate was properly locked as well as how the child got into the pool.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 303 Rosamond Street

January 19, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 303 Rosamond Street about 9:55 p.m. on Saturday (January 16).

The identity of the victim, 21, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. LaFour and J. Escobar reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim lying on the ground near a parked vehicle. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
