Incident at 12600 Hillcroft

March 25, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 12600 Hillcroft about 5:20 a.m. today (Mar. 25).

The identity of the male victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.O. Scott and Officer C.L. Scales reported:

A passing motorist called 911 after seeing a body lying in the road in the 12600 block of Hillcroft. HPD patrol officers responded and found a Hispanic male dead on the roadway. Investigators responded to the scene and developed information that indicated the victim was involved in a disturbance with two Hispanic males in a white Ford Expedition or Explorer. It appears the victim was shot as the suspects attempted to force him into their vehicle.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1909 Schilder Street

November 01, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of three people at 1909 Schilder Street about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday (October 31).  

The identity of the victim, 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective C. Flora reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found the victim with a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. 

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined a large party was held in the backyard of the residence.  During the party, a group of males began to fight with one another.  During the fight, an unknown person pulled out a handgun and fired into the crowd.  The victim, who was an innocent bystander, attempted to run from the gunfire and was struck. 

Three other persons were also struck by the gunfire and were transported by paramedics to area hospitals, two with non-life-threatening injuries and the third in an unknown condition.
