Alief Neighborhood Center

The Alief Neighborhood Center, located at 11903 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, Texas 77072, was designed to serve the one of Southwest Houston’s most diverse and growing neighborhoods. The 69,900 square foot multi-service center is a first of its kind.  Fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the multi-plex recreational facility houses four departments delivering health-related services, library, parks and recreations, property, and security management services for the citizens of Houston. The department and summary of these services are listed below

  • General Services Department – Property, Security and Real Estate Management Services
  • Houston Health Department – Various health-related programs, including but not limited to; Women’s, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinic, the Harris County Area Agency on Aging, Houston Health Department's Diabetes Awareness and Wellness Network
  • Houston Public Library – Various library programs and services including, but not limited to: classes, events, computers, books, electronic resources, plus a TECHLink technology center, and passport services!
  • Houston Parks and Recreation – Various sports programming, including but not limited to; recreational programs, greenspace management

Alief Neighborhood Community Center and Park

Common areas of Alief Community Center are scheduled via the Houston Public Library - Rooms 1509, 1511 and 1512:
Mon - Fri, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sat, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (summer months)

Alief Neighborhood Park is currently accepting reservation requests for small private events for up to 25 guests. Currently, only Departmental Community events are being considered. City-wide and neighborhood festivals, dedications, inaugurations, parades, tree plantings, fun runs, groundbreakings, and community/neighborhood events or holiday celebrations will require a Special Event Permit from the Mayor’s Office of Special Events. Alief Neighborhood Center Open House Showcases City’s Newest One-Stop Shop for Array of Services

January 14, 2023 -- The City of Houston celebrated the new Alief Neighborhood Center (11903 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, 77072) with an open house event Saturday. The event featured remarks from Mayor Sylvester Turner, Councilmember Tiffany D. Thomas, District F, and other local leaders on the nearly twenty-year development plan to complete this unique project. Hundreds of community members explored the innovative facilities, were invited to register for classes and events, and signed up for My LINK library cards. Three Women-Led Art Commissions Coming to Landmark Alief Neighborhood Center

September 28, 2021 -- The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (MOCA) is pleased to announce three public art commissions that will be displayed in the landmark Alief Neighborhood Center scheduled to be open in the Spring of 2022. Two interior and a single exterior commissioned public artworks will debut with the facility opening and will be added to the City’s Civic Art Collection.  Each was created by Houston-area artists Bennie Flores Ansell, Falon Mihalic, and Red Thread Collective – Rakhee Jain Desai, Ami Mehta, and Sneha Bhavsar.
