Incident at 4700 Robertson

April 9, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 4700 Robertson about 6:30 p.m. Friday (April 8).

The victim was identified as Arturo Barrios, 43, address unknown. He suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital were he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. T. Wyers and Officer M. S. Walker reported:

HPD officers responding to the scene of a reported stabbing in Irvington Park saw the victim lying on the ground near a vehicle. Witnesses stated that the victim was involved in some type of altercation with an unknown Hispanic male prior to the stabbing. Apparently, a large number of black and Hispanic males witnessed this incident; however, most fled the scene.

The suspect is only described as a Hispanic male approximately 25 years old.
