Traffic Incident at 5000 Texas Spur 5
August 1, 2005 -- A one car
accident claims the life of the driver at 5000 Texas Spur 5 on
Friday, July 29, 2005 around 12:30 a.m.
According to Houston Police Department Mobility
Incident Management Division Officer R. Stafford, a vehicle was
traveling westbound in the 5000 block of Texas Spur 5 when the
driver lost control and struck a concrete guardrail. The vehicle
rolled over several times ejecting the driver, described as a
30-year-old Hispanic female. She died from massive head injuries
at the scene. The passenger, a 30-year-old Hispanic male was transported
to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition with minor injuries.
This incident is still under investigation to
determine the exact cause as to why the vehicle/ driver lost control
of the vehicle.
