HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.W. Howard and Officer P.T. Yochum reported:

HPD officers responded to a call of a female who had been shot on the foot in the 3300 block of Holman about 2:40 a.m. After conducting their preliminary investigation on Holman, the patrol officers went looking for the man who had allegedly shot the female. It was unknown to her that the man had also been shot. The deceased victim sought help from friends nearby.
