Incident at 3611 North Main

August 11, 2005 -- Houston police homicide investigators are awaiting test results on a fetus discovered at a business at 3611 North Main about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 10).

The fetus, believed to be about five months old, was transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Officer H.A. Chavez reported:

An employee of the McDonald's restaurant at 3611 North Main walked into one of the bathroom stalls in the women's restroom and found the fetus in the trashcan. During the initial investigation, it was determined the fetus was likely left in the trash between 6:40 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The identity of the person who left the fetus is unknown at this time.
