Incident at 1800 Campbell Street
August 22, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating a fatal shooting at 1800 Campbell Street about
4:30 a.m. on Aug. 22.
The male victim's identity is unknown at this
time. He suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. C. Bloyd and
Officer D. L. Robertson reported:
A witness discovered the victim's body in the
1800 block of Campbell near the intersection of Maury. Between
the hours of 2 a.m. - 3 a.m., area residents heard gunshots, but
did not see anything. At this time, robbery does not appear to
be the motive in this shooting. The victim's wallet was found
in his pocket, but he did not have any identification on him.
