Incident at 5900 Point West

August 24, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 5900 Point West about 2:30 a.m. today (Aug. 24).

The identity of the female victim and cause of death are pending notification to the next of kin and an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. A. Flores and Officer P. T. Yochum reported:

A witness discovered the body of the victim in the 5900 block of Point West. Houston police officers and HFD paramedics responded to the scene and determined that the victim was deceased. The victim suffered noticeable blunt trauma to the head and multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

There are no known suspects at this time; however, a suspicious small, silver 4-door vehicle was seen driving away from the scene.
