Incident at 8701 South Braeswood #243

December 9, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8701 South Braeswood #243 about 11:55 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 8).

The victim is identified as Robert Charles Nervis III, 29, of 8701 South Braeswood #243. He suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Officer T.R. Cunningham reported:

The victim's cousin discovered his body lying face down on the floor of the apartment the two shared. The cousin went to a Precinct 5 Constable's storefront for help, however the office was closed. He then called Houston police. HFD paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced Nervis dead.
