Incident at 3510 Almington Lane

December 16, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found in her home at 3510 Almington Lane about 8:40 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 15).

The victim, Enid L. Holderly, 71, suffered blunt trauma to the head. Her cause of death is pending results of an autopsy.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Parker and Officer D.L. Robertson reported:

Officers were called to 3510 Almington to check the welfare of an elderly woman. When they arrived, they were told family members had found the woman dead inside her home with an axe located next to her body.

Ms. Holderly's vehicle, a gray 2001 Ford F-150 four-door pickup truck, is missing. The vehicle has blue running boards and a flat top cover over the bed of the truck. The truck has Texas license plates 4VMB38. A male living in her home is also missing. Investigators are concerned about the welfare of the male, Robert Renfrow (w/m, DOB 10-6-64), and ask anyone with information on his whereabouts or information on the missing vehicle to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
