February 28, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10202 Club Creek on Sunday, February 27, 2005 about 4:30 p.m.

The victim is identified as Edgan Martinez, 19, of 11500 Keegans Ridge #1304.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.B. Douglas reported:

The victim and two of his friends were in an apartment complex parking lot when three young Hispanic males in a light green Pontiac Grand Prix (1990 to 1995 model) approached them. One of the suspects gestured signs at the victim and his friends, but kept going. The victim and his friends got into their car and drove north through the parking lot as the suspect's vehicle turned around and drove back towards the victim's vehicle. The back passenger in the suspect's vehicle fired one gun shot at the victim's vehicle as the vehicles passed each other. The bullet hit the victim who was sitting in the back seat behind the driver. The victim's friends drove him to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
