Incident at 500 South 75th

January 25, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 500 South 75th Street on Monday, January 24, 2005, about 8:15 a.m.

The identity and cause of death of the victim are pending an autopsy by the
Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D. A. Ferguson and Officer B. C. McDaniel
reported:

A witness was walking southbound in the 500 block of South 75th Street when he
observed the victim floating on his back in Braes Bayou. HFD assisted the
Houston police dive team in recovering the victim's body from the bayou. The
victim did not appear to have any visible wounds.
