Crime Lab Stakeholders Committee Meeting
January 29, 2005 -- This
release is being sent at the request of the Crime Lab Stakeholders
Committee.
The Crime Lab Stakeholders Committee met on Saturday
January 29, 2005 to
interview firms interested in the role of project leader whose
task will be to
oversee the audit of the HPD Crime Lab.
After diligently interviewing and carefully reviewing
all the proposals, the
committee has decided to make it's formal recommendation on Wednesday
February
2, 2005 at the Houston Bar Association offices located at 1001
Fannin. The
additional time is necessary to allow the committee to more thoroughly
review
the proposals and to verify the listed credentials and references.
The committee feels very strongly that taking
the additional time will best
serve the interest of justice by ensuring that the best possible
candidate is
chosen.
