Incident at 5900 South Gessner

July 19, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5900 South Gessner about 10:15 p.m. on Monday (July 18).

The victim has been identified as Patrick Onyango Kombudo, 34, of 8600 Sands Point #11. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. W. Howard and C. T. Mosqueda and Officers P. T. Yochum and L. Benavidez reported:

The victim got into an altercation outside of a nightclub with a Hispanic male he may have known. The suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim several times. Paramedics responded to the scene and determined that the victim was deceased. The suspect fled the scene in a brown pickup truck of an unknown make and model.
