Incident at 11800 Astoria

June 10, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of man who was dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound on Thursday, June 9, 2005 around 11:00 p.m.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Officer I.F. Flores, patrol officers were dispatched to the emergency room of Hermann Southeast Memorial Hospital regarding a gunshot victim who was dropped off there. The victim, 34-year-old Tam Van Tran of 8250 Park Place Blvd. #509, was brought to the hospital by a private car. Witnesses told investigators they saw a vehicle drop off Tran and leave. Tran later died from a gunshot wound to the back.
