Traffic Incident at 6600 Gessner

March 27, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal accident in the 6600 block of Gessner Dr. about 3:10 a.m. today (March 27).

The identity of the deceased driver (w/f) is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Traffic Division Sergeant T. McCabe and Officers R. Stafford and S. Martinez reported:

The victim was driving her Pontiac GrandAm going northbound on Gessner when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle swerved and hit the median then slid sideways striking a large tree on the driver's side. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
