Update on Incident at 8000 Betty Boop

May 30, 2005 -- Houston police have learned the identity of the victim of a fatal shooting at 8000 Betty Boop about 7:50 p.m. on Sunday (May 22).

The deceased victim has been identified as Willie Wayne Williams, 34, of 8157 Laura Koppe.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.J. Grysen and Officer D.R. Shorten reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a silver Chevrolet Impala in the 8000 block of Betty Boop. They heard one gunshot and then saw Williams being pushed out the driver's side door. A passenger then got into the driver's seat and sped away. The witnesses stated another male ran toward the car and also got in the vehicle.

The suspects were identified only as two black males.
