Incident at 5600 Ambern Drive

October 24, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5600 Ambern Drive on October 24, 2005 at about 1:10 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Elfego Zenon Mena, 48, of 5623 Ambern Drive. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers I.F. Flores and R. Chappell reported:

Officers, responding to a shooting call, found the victim lying in the street. Investigators were able to determine that Mr. Mena was involved in an argument with an unknown person. During the course of the argument, that person shot the victim and then fled the location.

The investigation is continuing.
