Incident at 7029 Waxahachie

September 3, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7029 Waxahachie about 2:15 a.m. today (Sept. 3).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Officer I.F. Flores reported:

The resident a 7029 Waxahachie heard three gunshots at about 2:15 a.m. outside of his residence. He looked out of his window and saw a male laying facedown in his yard. Police responding to the scene found that the victim had been shot.
