Update on Incident at 8323 Gulfwood

September 15, 2005 -- Houston police homicide investigators have learned the cause of death of a child at 8323 Gulfwood about 10 a.m. on September 5.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's office has ruled the death of Terry Ray Walker, 4, of 8323 Gulfwood a homicide. An autopsy revealed the little boy suffered a fractured skull, broken right arm, and had several bruises on his body.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Officer P.J. Guerrero reported:

The child was found unresponsive by his mother's boyfriend. The boyfriend said he began CPR and called HFD paramedics who continued CPR upon arrival. The boy was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation into this capital murder case is continuing. There have been no arrests made or charges filed at this time.
