Incident at 1200 Bay Area Boulevard
September 27, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1200 Bay
Area Boulevard about 12:30 a.m. today (Sept. 27).
The identity of the male victim, 21, is pending
notification to the next of kin. He suffered a gunshot wound to
the head.
H.P.D. Homicide Division Sergeant L.A. Flores
and Officers P.T. Yochum and R. Chappell reported:
A witness flagged down Houston police officers
regarding a shooting that had just occurred. The witness had pulled
over at 1200 Bay Area in an attempt to get medical assistance
for the victim who was in the front passenger seat of a maroon
Nissan Altima. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced
the victim dead. During the initial investigation, officers determined
the victim was currently on active duty in the military.
