Traffic Incident at 7500 North Freeway

September 30, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7500 North Freeway about 11:20 a.m. today (Sept. 30).

The male victim's identity is unknown. He was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L. A. Washington and Officer D. S. Schlichter and C. Burt reported:

According to witnesses, the victim appeared to run or leap into the path of a wrecker truck traveling northbound in the 7500 block of the North Freeway. The victim did not have any identification on him.

No charges have been filed at this time.
