Incident at 718 Coolwood
April 8, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding
of a woman at 718 Coolwood about 1:30 a.m. today (Apr. 9).
The victims' identities were not released pending
notification to the next of kin. Both suffered gunshot wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. Howard and
M. McStravick and Officer T. Andrade reported:
The victims drove to an apartment complex and
picked up two unknown black male suspects in order to conduct
a drug transaction. The four individuals then drove to 718 Coolwood,
where the suspects shot both victims. The suspects fled in the
victims' white 2001 Toyota Camry bearing Texas license plates
L40-SWZ. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The
female victim managed to flee to a nearby residence and was transported
to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown condition.
