Traffic Incident at 5110 Denoron

April 25, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5110 Denoron about 3:20 p.m. on Monday (April 24).

The deceased male victim has been identified as Ryland Simmons, who was 14-months old.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N. Nguyen and Officer R. Stafford reported:

The boy was in the driveway of the residence when his 20-year-old sister started backing a car, a white Dodge Intrepid, out of the garage. The boy was directly behind the vehicle and was struck. The boy was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
