Incident at 2200 Tanglewilde

August 9, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2200 Tanglewilde about 3:30 a.m. today (August 9).

The victim's identity is unknown at this time. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzalez and Officer R.P. Martinez reported:

The victim, who appears to be in his teens, was last seen walking in the 2100 block of Tanglewilde between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Nearby residents reported hearing numerous gunshots at about 3:30 a.m. A security guard discovered the body of the victim in a grassy area near a neighborhood community center at about 6:30 a.m.

There are no known witnesses or a motive at this time.
