Incident at 9001 Kempwood

August 12, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9001 Kempwood about 2 a.m. today (August 12).

The victim is identified as Alberto Garcia, 32, of 9001 Kempwood. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Officers E.R. Carstens and T.A. Andrade reported:

An unknown Hispanic male suspect armed with a gun approached Mr. Garcia and his brother as the two men walked through the apartment complex. As Garcia turned away, the suspect shot him numerous times.

The unknown suspect fled possibly in a white car.
