Incident at 1201 Redford

August 21, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1201 Redford about 12:05 a.m. on Sunday (August 20).

The victim, Kyle K. Keagle, 20, of 600 Edgebrook, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Gonzalez and Officer R.W. Chappell reported:

The victim was driving a vehicle through the Bristol Apartment complex parking lot when he drove by a group of black males standing near their parked vehicles. As the victim drove towards the exit gate, the group of males surrounded his vehicle and began striking him with their fists. One of the suspects then fired shots at the victim. The victim managed to drive through the exit gate and then hit a parked vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing about 145 to 150 pounds. He had short hair and was last seen wearing a light blue jersey, possibly with the number '07' printed across the front.
