Traffic Incident at Old Galveston Road and Pineloch

February 6, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at Old Galveston Road and Pineloch about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2006.

The identity of the male victim, 25, is being withheld pending notification to family members.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant G. T. Hall and Officer M. Losey reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, failed to yield the right of way to traffic when he walked against the crosswalk at Galveston Road and Pineloch. A truck, traveling south on Old Galveston Road had a green light and struck the victim.
