Incident at 8080 Creekbend

February 7, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another man at 8080 Creekbend about 2:50 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2006.

The deceased male has been identified as Gregory Sartain, 19, of 8080 Creekbend #201. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Officer M. S. Walker reported:

Gregory Sartain and Bennie Curtis, 25, were involved in an altercation with two unknown suspects, described only as black males, at an area nightclub. The suspects followed Sartain and Curtis back to their apartment and attempted to rob them. During the robbery, the suspects shot Sartain, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and Curtis, who was taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
