February 13, 2006 -- Houston police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a 21-year-old man at 5709 Lyons on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at about 1:05 a.m.

According to HPD Homicide Division Investigators C.T. Hufstedler and A. Mares, the victim, Anthony Jackson and his girlfriend drove to a gas station at 5709 Lyons to get gas. Jackson was returning to his vehicle when the possible suspect approached him. According to the girlfriend, the suspect and Jackson had a brief conversation before she heard a gunshot. She told investigators that she saw Jackson fall to the ground and waited for him to get up. She got out of the vehicle and saw Jackson bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound to the back of the head.

Anthony Jackson was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
