Traffic Incident at 11200 Bellaire

January 31, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11200 Bellaire about 11 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2006.

The male victim, 53, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification to his family members.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant G. T. Hall and Officer S. Martinez reported:

The victim was exiting a private driveway when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Bellaire. The preliminary investigation shows the victim failed to yield right of way when he exited the private driveway.
