Incident at 2600 McGowen

July 1, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2600 McGowen about 11 p.m. on Friday (June 30).

The victim is identified as Tsegai Melefe Biche, 49, of an unknown address. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Officer T.R. Cunningham reported:

Mr. Biche was found lying face down at the intersection of McGowen and Live Oak by HFD paramedics responding to a shooting call. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.
