Traffic Incident at 7300 Bellfort

July 11, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7300 Bellfort about 5:30 a.m. today (July 11).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L.A. Washington and Officer R. Saenz reported:

The victim was found lying face down in the westbound lane of traffic in the 7300 block of Bellfort. The accident appears to be a hit and run. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. There are no known witnesses or suspects at this time.
