HPD To Recognize Graduating Law Enforcement Officer
June 9, 2006 -- At 7 p.m. Today
(Friday, June 9), Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott will join
HPD and the Houston Police Officers Union (HPOU) in a celebration
recognizing the accomplishments of more than 100 law enforcement
officers from throughout the State of Texas, who have successfully
completed their educational goals.
Seventy-one of the graduates obtained their Bachelor
of Science degrees in Organizational Leadership and 31 graduates
obtained their Masters of Science degrees in Strategic Leadership
from Mountain State University's online programs. Sixty-four of
these graduates are members of the Houston Police Department and
the HPOU.
