Incident at 8655 Pitner

March 31, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8655 Pitner about 2:50 a.m. today (Mar. 31).

The victim has been identified as Alvin Cordier, 42, of 8655 Pitner #347. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, arm, and head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. Flores and Officer B. D. Evans reported:

Officers located the body of the victim after responding to a shooting call. Mr. Cordier was lying on the ground next to an iron fence in the back parking lot, adjacent to apartment buildings three and seven. The motive for this shooting is unknown.
