Update On Incident at 9540 Kempwood

May 3, 2006 -- Three suspects have been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 9540 Kempwood about 12:20 a.m. on April 26.

One suspect, Koy Timon Moore (b/m, DOB: 8-13-81), was arrested and charged with murder in the 208th State District Court. Two other suspects, Earl Tyrone Jackson (b/m, DOB: 4-06-74) and Richard Wright (b/m, DOB: 6-20-57), were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 208th State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. A. Flores and Officer P. Yochum reported:

Patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment complex and found Jermore Jones, 27, of 3400 Campbell #305 with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. During the investigation it was determined Moore shot the victim several times and then Jackson and Wright proceeded to steal items from his body. Mr. Jones was a friend with two of the suspects, Jackson and Wright. The victim and suspects are Katrina evacuees.
