Update on Incident at 4000 Hollister

May 10, 2006 -- One of three suspects has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of two others at 4000 Hollister about 11:15 p.m. on May 6.

Rodolfo Paredes (H/m, DOB 6-4-83) is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 209th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Rocky Vincent Sanchez, 17, of 4000 Hollister #333.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. Howard and M. McStravick reported:

Mr. Sanchez was in the parking lot of his apartment complex with several friends when three Hispanic males walked past him and his friends. For reasons unknown, one or more of the Hispanic males began firing at Sanchez and his friends. Sanchez was struck multiple times and died at the scene. His two friends, 22 and 17 years of age respectively, were also struck by gunfire and treated at local hospitals.

The two wanted suspects are described as being 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 150 to 160 pounds. One suspect, believed to be 17 or 18 years old, goes by the name of Ceasar. The other suspect is between 18 and 20 years of age.
