Traffic Incident at 3800 North Loop

November 12, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3800 North Loop westbound on November 11, 2006 at 8:10 p.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant A.C. Francois and Officer D. Ertons reported:

The driver of a Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on the 610 North Loop and attempting to exit the IH 59 south ramp. The driver made a sudden move to the left and struck a Chevrolet Silverado pickup. She then over-steered back to the right and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle skidded sideways and crashed into a steel support column. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
